A long-standing player in the energy sector, the Parlym engineering group offers its employees a wide variety of career opportunities, both in France and internationally, following the example of Alexandre Pipart, Director of Operations.
Actually, the Parlym Group is working on large-scale project management in the nuclear field. On the shores of the Etang de Berre, it has provided project management for the maintenance and renovation of industrial facilities. "I was recruited in 2016 to work on nuclear projects, called Diesels Ultimes Secours (DUS), and then a little later, on projects to "revamp" existing industrial units to upgrade their capacities and keep them in a performance position," explains Alexandre Pipart. "These two experiences were intellectually very rich.
The careers offered by Parlym in France and abroad are as varied as its projects: from the development of framework contracts to the construction of turnkey industrial projects, not forgetting the new challenges posed by artificial intelligence. " Young engineers can start their career in one of our design offices in France, then move on to Côte d'Ivoire or Cameroon, for example," continues Alexandre Pipart, who quickly moved into management roles, before taking direct responsibility for large-scale projects such as plant construction and storage facilities. In 2022, he became Group Operations Director. "Parlym offered me challenging opportunities, with a good ability to move quickly from execution to management."
FULFILLMENT AT WORK, A PRIORITY FOR THE GROUP
To support its employees, Parlym has developed a rich training offer, including internal and external training cycles to enhance their technical culture. In addition, cross-functional support is offered, with gateways between entities to provide the richest possible career opportunities. "Many initiatives are taken to enhance fulfillment in the workplace: flexible working hours, comfortable premises, team-building activities, sports sponsorship, etc. Regular employee surveys are carried out in this area.
The Group is also committed to local life in the regions where it operates. A special endowment fund, called DEMAIN, has been set up to finance environmental and social projects. It recently supported the construction of a dispensary in Guinea, and the participation of an employee in a village electrification project in Africa. Finally, Parlym has set up an energy transition department. " This department has a dual vocation: to make our engineering services available, but also to decarbonize our own activities, in transport and buildings", concludes Alexandre Pipart.
